For 21 years the Australian Japan Society of Victoria has sent a group of children accompanied by a Chaperone and Assistant Chaperone/Peace Ambassador to participate in this Convention held in Fukuoka, Japan each year. It is a truly unique event that allows approximately 350 eleven-year-old children from 43 regions around the Asian Pacific rim to share in a truly international exchange.

The children and Chaperone initially stay in a camp along with all the other countries’ participants to participate in various activities, before going to stay with a Japanese host family.

Additional information on the Asian-Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka, Japan can be obtained from the official APCC website.

This year, Australian Souvenirs Gift Shop kindly donated 100+ Australian key rings for all participants to bring to Fukuoka. Thank you very much! (click the logo to visit them)
