AJSV Student Exchange Scholarship Program

For over 30 years, the Society has organised a most successful reciprocal Scholarship Program with our contacts in Japan.

This year a decision has been made to work with schools teaching Japanese that have their own short term exchange program. The Society plans to identify sponsors for several students from schools with an established exchange program. It is envisaged that the successful student(s) will participate in a program which is wholly organised by the school. The Society hopes to provide scholarships for up to four students.

Details of selection criteria for student selection are as follows;

  • Student should be someone whose family could not afford to participate.
  • Student must be studying Japanese.
  • Student must be in Yr 9, 10 or 11 in 2010.
  • Student should have a positive attitude towards studies.
